Going to a live performance is a life event. Not only the band or performer you watch and listen to, but also in securing the tickets, getting to the venue, the friends you went with, and the funny, cool, and unforgettable experiences that occurred before, during and after the show.

The idea of having people describe seeing live concerts occurred to me when someone was telling me about seeing Janis Joplin in 1967 at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. As he was detailing that story, I realized that these personal events need to be cataloged NOW, so future generations will know what it was like to witness some of these legendary artists.

So, I started interviewing people. Some of the first shows I heard about were, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, Rage Against the Machine, Nirvana, Queen, Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer, the Beatles, Elvis, The Who, Bon Jovi, Metallica and on and on.
